Travel by airplane or automobile is not harmful to your baby during an uncomplicated pregnancy. With an uncomplicated pregnancy, you may travel up to your 36th week of pregnancy (this is the last month before your due date).
The main concern regarding travel is the chance of an unexpected occurrence while out of town like contractions or illness. During prolonged trips we recommend that you get up and walk around every 1-2 hours to improve your circulation. Drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated. Please wear your seat belt at all times with the lap belt positioned below your abdomen across your hips and use the shoulder strap if available.
